Greetings everyone! Somehow, it’s already been seven months since the first issue of Conversion Confidential. Since then, I’ve written a post nearly each weekend. There are now 468 free subscribers and I’ve been fortunate to exchange messages and ideas with many of you. However, I’ve also written most of the evergreen material on the topic of thrift conversions that I can think of.
Going forward, I plan to reduce the frequency of my posts to an as-needed basis. I’ll continue to profile any new mutual banks that file their S-1 to convert to public ownership, as well as provide updates on the thrifts I follow more closely/own. I believe this format will be a better alternative than diluting the quality of the content by writing for the sake of writing just to meet a weekly cadence.
With that said, I also wanted to open up this thread and try to encourage some comments/feedback. Which topics have you, the readers, found most helpful or valuable? This will help me determine the areas of content I focus on in the future…
Thrift conversion structure/process
Individual thrift writeups
General banking education
I’m also toying with the idea of occasionally publishing a spreadsheet listing the various thrifts and some of their valuation data. Or perhaps I could do written interviews with accomplished investors in the thrift space. If you think either of those would be of interest, or have any other ideas on what you’d like to see going, please don’t hesitate to leave a comment. As always, thanks for reading!
Completely understandable. Will be happy to read your occasional thoughts on this subject. Also like the idea of a spreadsheet. Personally more interested in conversions than banking in general.
I have enjoyed your write-ups. The most interesting work you have published was your reviews of mutuals that were just about to complete their 1st step conversion with your thoughts about the value of the bank and how its price compares to that which you think would be a fair price against comparable banks. Thank you.
profiles of upcoming conversions and spreadsheet would be great. Interviews with experienced investors in conversions would be good also. thanks, you provide a helpful resource.
Spreadsheet is a great idea. Wouldn't mind seeing an occasional interview especially from an accomplished/activist investor. Appreciate all you have done so far.
Thank you for your efforts. Love to keep this politics free and biz focused as opposed to other such sites. Their have been many great people who have a lot of interesting things to say. This is a great start. Mazeltov
I think a spreadsheet of valuation and other data on bank demutualization's would be very useful for me.

a spreadsheet would be nice. specially if it included columns such as conversion date fst or second step, float data etc.
